Maya Perkins
Maya Perkins is a Certified Hair & Makeup Artist. Her love and passion for the cosmetology field started when she began taking classes at The School of Cooperative Technical Education located in NYC. Maya became not only certified but also a Licensed Cosmetologist and worked in a few salons in Manhattan. She also had the privilege to work as the hairstylist in a small local magazine in Queens called Regarde Moi, her very first magazine to have her work published in.
Due to the unfortunate circumstances that occurred in the beginning of March 2020 (Covid-19) the children's hair salon that Maya was working at closed. As soon as this happened, Maya began thinking of other ways to continue to further her love for the beauty industry. The Makeup Academy of NYC by Nina Mua was her calling. At Nina Mua, she continued her love of hair but also found her new love of working with makeup. January 14th, 2021 was the day she graduated from the Mastery Makeup program. She continues to work as a Freelance Hair & Makeup Artist, specializing in Bridal and Editorial.

Maya Perkins is also a Certified Sanitation Specialist and also received a Covid-19 Barbicide Certificate. During these uncertain and stressful times, Maya ensures that all of her clients are safe by following these guidelines:
*Wears a disposable or frequently washed cloth mask at all times!
*All makeup brushes are thoroughly washed and sanitized with 99.99 antimicrobial disinfectant brush cleaner in between use for each client.
*Makeup Palettes and items in kit are all sprayed and sanitized with 90% isopropyl alcohol spray.
*Disposables such as mascara wands, lipstick wands, eyeliner wands etc. are all used once and thrown out immediately after each use.
*Hand Sanitizer is fully stocked and ready for use before makeup application on all clients.
